Wanganui Connect

Although this is not, strictly speaking, a tourism website, it does offer visitors to the Wanganui region access to some very useful resources. The 'What's On' section highlights major events taking place in Wanganui throughout the year and the 'Cinema Listings' section provides excellent detail of movies showing at the 'Embassy 3' cinema. There's a photo gallery too, and links to some useful resources including the NZ Distance Calculator, so you can see exactly where Wanganui is and, how far it is from other centres. It would seem that the site has grown from one which initially offered a directory of business and council services in Wanganui, to one which offers a much broader range of information. Whilst the navigation is easy to use, it might be a good idea (purely from a visitors point of view), to provide an alternative entry page which prioritises information relevant to visitors.
