The striking blue and red colours of this site make a strong first impression. The layout is clean and simple enabling very easy navigation. This can be of a great help to visitors who's first language isn't English. In this case, there's also a German version of the site.
The information regarding the campers is comprehensive and easy to follow, "cutaway" pictures are very clear and the "campa cars" (cars with tents, sleeping bags, cooking equipment) seem a very good idea. A secure enquiry form is included (good for ensuring privacy of personal details) but strangely, when our judges visited, the booking form (which requests credit card details) was not secure. Perhaps a temporary glitch? The company's brochure can be downloaded from the site as a .pdf (portable document format) file, a feature which is, perhaps, under-utilised by tourism websites. With the appropriate software pdf's can easily be created (as simple as printing a document). Better still, viewers are free and, come already installed on most computers. Judges suggestions? 360 degree panoramas of campers' interior, movies illustrating aspects of camper design and some nice pictures of NZ's spectacular scenery, just to whet the appetite. Well, nothing wrong with have a wish list, is there? |
