Southern Traverse

This site cleverly weaves together effective design and content to deliver an upbeat experience that is in tune with its audience and builds excitement and anticipation around the Southern Traverse. Numerous pictures of the different elements that make up the event (abseiling, mountain bikes etc) clearly illustrate the concept however, are quite small. Access to larger versions of these images might be appreciated by viewers. The site builds an excellent platform for adding dynamically to the site nearer to the event and mentions some of the worldwide television coverage the event will receive, as well as the site's own on-line reporter. Judges did however notice a lack of online email forms to help with online registration and product ordering. Perhaps these would be a worthwile addition? Still, this site does a great job in presenting a unique event in a way that is both engaging and informative.
