Once again, the theme of the products which it represents is very evident in the site's design. The Tapa cloth borders create a South Pacific feel and black backgrounds highlight the bone carvings well.
The amount of detail regarding the various craft items, their spiritual significance, materials used is fantastic. There is good explanation of the postal delivery system and accepted payment methods also. Secure ordering is offered although, visitors are required to enter an item number for each product they wish to order. A "shopping cart" system might save the visitor a few trips back and forth between pages, copying and pasting codes. We mustn't be to critical here however, since our judges frequently find many sites willing to accept credit card transactions but providing NO secure facilty at all! There's a nice "Flash Movie" of a beach scene on the site but we couldn't find any movies of bone carvers. Might make an interesting addition? |
