This site has remarkably acheived what so many sites have set out to do. Surf.co.nz provides a complete resource for surfers, whether NZ'ers or visitors, by providing a wealth of well organised content and, importantly, linking to other associated resources for further information.
An example of the excellent content is the 'Local Knowledge' section which provides 'insider' information on New Zealand's many surf beaches including how to access them and warnings about rips. The event section too deserves a mention for its frequently updated information and competition results.
The weather section has a comprehensive collection of weather related links from around the world including 'wave action' and cyclone watches and the site makes good use of web technologies, including livecams (several different locations updated every 30 mins), clickable maps, and JavaScripts.
Maybe, if we looked really hard, we might scrape up on or two areas to criticise but why not give them a chance to wallow in self congratulation? They deserve it!
