This site creates a good first impression with an attractive montage on the main page.
Throughouth the site, image quality is good, especially the maps. Our judges find this refreshing since, all too often, they have to try to decipher text on maps which have been inadequately scanned and prepared for the web. Tour description were generally very good, and, easy to read thanks to well though-out coloured tables. A bit more information on each region however, wouldn't go amiss, even if it meant the odd link to an external site. In fact, there are a few external links which could significantly enhance the site content, such as those to weather forecasts or average seasonal temperatures and rainfall. A small criticism our judges felt they should make was regarding the insecure form used to transmit credit card details. We'd prefer that sites wishing to use this type of form, inform visitors that it is not secure and, offer an alternative method to provide these details (such as fax or phone). Of course the addition of a secure form would be an even better option. We hope our suggestions can make this already excellent website, an even better one. |
