Clean, uncluttered presentation and easy to follow navigation are the points which first strike visitors to Pacific Cycle Tour's website.
Further exploration reveals good details of tours and itineraries, clear pricing information with all prices indicated as NZ$ and some nice touches such as the pedalling cyclist image telling you which section of the site you are currently viewing. There's also a good overview of NZ which contains a link to the Virtual New Zealand site for more detailed information. The one criticism our judges had was, not the lack of a secure server, but a statement that the company advises against secure internet transactions. This is certainly not the view of our judges who would view a secure reservation system as an improvement to site such as this. Importantly however, the site does not request credit card details be sent insecurely which, to our amazement, many sites do. |
