Abel Tasman Ocean View Chalets

Once you get past the main page, this is an easy to use and informative website. Good information about the company and accommodation offered, links to more detailed information about the region, excellent maps, prices stated as $NZ and seasonal prices given, suggested itineraries, full and half day tours etc. The design is simple and so is the navigation which is a plus. The only thing our judges didn't like, was the large background picture on the main page. It seemed to compete with the other information and, in 800 x 600 resolution, the image began to 'tile' or repeat itself. Our judges also suggested that the addition of some multimedia might add a more unique element to the site. Perhaps Quicktime VR or similar movies of the interior of the chalets might give prospective guests a better idea of the accommodation than the text descriptions? Even without these, the simple layout, comprehensive information and detailed maps do much to sell the region and Abel Tasman Ocean View Chalets.
