February's WETA Award winner is...
Moa Trek
New Zealand wine and food scenic and personal tours for 40 to 60 year age group
Moa Trek is a great concept. Small group tours, with no more than 17 travellers, and all within a similar age group (the tours are geared toward the 40s - 60s set).

Amongst February's WETA entrants however, there were a number of good concepts. What set the Moa Trek website apart from the rest, was the way in which the site embraced the concept. Sparkling imagery, concise but inviting descriptions, clean layout and intuitive navigation.

Don't get us wrong, there were some very good entrants. In fact there was less than a point between the top two entries. Moa Trek however, avoided some of the pitfalls which dogged similar sites. One of which, was a tendency to ramble. Too much text, of too little relevance, was a problem with more sites than we'd care to mention. Similarly, when it comes to the use of images on a website, quality beats quantity hands down.

Aside from the quality writing and presentation, there were other features which helped seal victory for Moa Trek. The "Travel Trade" page was a thoughtful inclusion. We did notice however, that this page had a slight problem with text overlapping when viewed with some versions of Internet Explorer for Macintosh. Windows based systems seem free of this glitch. It is always a good idea to test your site with as many of the popular browser/platform combinations as possible although, testing all of them would be virtually impossible.

Whilst the site did provide a number of ways to make an enquiry, we couldn't find the means to actually book a tour, despite there being very detailed tour information available. A possible future inclusion?

Our judges could find little else to criticise. In fact, the strengths of this site are such that we recommend anyone interested in finding quality examples of copy writing, visit soon.
